Flores in quatuor partibus, quanta erit aba-
ci craſsitudo, tam magni formentur.
Ita his ſymmetrijs Corinthia capitula ſuas habebunt exactio-
nes.
Sunt autem, quæ ijſdem columnis imponuntur, capitulorum genera, uarijs uocabulis nomina-
ta, quorum nec proprietates ſymmetriarum, nec columnarum genus aliud nominare poſſumus, ſed
ipſorũ uocabula traducta, &
commutata ex Corinthijs, & puluinatis, & Doricis uidemus, quorum ſym
metrię ſunt in nouarum ſcalpturarum translatæ ſubtilitatem.

cum, folia, helices, &
uolut as, quæ ſi ſuis locis ponantur, & uenuſtè incidantur pulcherrimam ſpeciem præfe-
rent.
Quomodo autem id fiat oſtendam. Sumitur integra columnæ diametros ima, eaq́; altitudini capituli
datur, in qua altitudine abacus includitur ſecundum Vitr.
Sed obſeruatum eſt uenuſtiorem ſpeciem ſecluſo aba
co fieri altitudinem capituli craſſitudine imi ſcapi.
Latitudo ſeu quadra abaci ita facienda eſt. ducendæ duæ
ſunt lineæ, ſe ſe ad angulos rectos interſecantes, &
diducto cir cino quantum eſt altitudo capituli, pedeq́ue eius
