                  <s id="s.008136">Oveſta ragione di machinatione, che ſi riuolge con tre raggi, ſi chiama triſpa­
                    <lb/>
                  ſtos: ma quando nella taglia di ſotto due raggi, & nella diſopra tre ſi ruota­
                    <lb/>
                  no, pentaſpaſton. </s>
                  <s id="s.008137">Ma ſe per peſi maggiori ſi apparecchieranno le machine,
                    <lb/>
                  allhora ſarà neceſſario uſare le traui, & piu lunghe, & piu groſſe, & con la
                    <lb/>
                  medeſma antedetta ragione da i capi di ſopra legarle, & congiungerle con le loro fibbie, &
                    <lb/>
                  pironi, & di ſotto con molinello accommodarle. </s>

                  Perche (come ho detto) la moltitudine delle taglie, & de i raggi in piu parti diuide il peſo:
                    <lb/>
                  però la doue ſi ha a leuar peſo maggiore, è neceſſario l'opera di piu taglie, & de piu raggi, &
                    <lb/>
                  dal numero de i raggi ſar anno le machine nominate. </s>
                  <s id="s.008139">Però ſe per tre raggi ſarà ordita la fune,
                    <lb/>
                  quella machina ſarà detta triſpaſton, quaſi da tre raggi tirato: ſe la taglia di ſotto hauerà due rag
                    <lb/>
                  gi, & la di ſopra tre, da i cinque raggi pentaſpaston ſarà detta, nè i latini nè i uolgari hanno la
                    <lb/>
                  felicità de Greci nel compor questi nomi. </s>
                  <s id="s.008140">Fannoſi le taglie con piu raggi, altre ne hanno un
                    <lb/>
                  ordine, altre due, & altre piu, come ſi uede nelle figure. </s>
                  <s id="s.008141">Ma bella coſa è l'ordimento delle fu­
                    <lb/>
                  ni, come bene è da i praticanti conoſciuto, & le figure lo dimostrano. </s>
                  <s id="s.008142">Hora uediamo come ſi
                    <lb/>
                  drizzano in piedi queſte gauerne, ò ponti, ò cauallette, che ſi dichino.

                  <s id="s.008143">Eſplicate le predette coſe ſiano dinanzi alle machine ammollate quelle funi, che antarie
                    <lb/>
                  dette ſono, & ſopra le ſpale della machina diſpoſti ſiano per
                    <expan abbr="lūgo">lungo</expan>
                  i ritegni, & ſe non ſarà do
                    <lb/>
                  ue legarli, & raccommandarli, ſiano conficcati i pali dritti, & fermati col batterli bene a tor
                    <lb/>
                  no, & iui ſiano le funi legate. </s>
                  <s id="s.008144">Dapoi ſia una taglia al capo di ſopra della machina con
                    <lb/>
                  una corda legata, & da quello ſian riportate le corde al palo, & d'intorno a quella taglia;
                    <lb/>
                  che è al palo alligata, ſi meni la fune cerca il ſuo raggio, & poi riportata ſia alla taglia,
                    <lb/>
                  che al capo della machina, & d'intorno il raggio dalla ſommità trapaſſata la fune diſcenda
                    <lb/>
                  & ritorni al molinello, che è nella machina da baſſo, & iui ſia legato: coſi forzato il mo­
                    <lb/>
                  linello dalle ſtange ſi uolgerà, & da ſe ſenza pericolo drizzerà la machina: coſi diſpoſte le
                    <lb/>
                  funi d'intorno, & i ritegni attaccati a i pali con piu ampio mo do ſarà la machina colloca­
                    <lb/>
                  ta: ma le taglie, & i menali al ſopradetto modo ſaranno ordite. </s>
